ANDREW VOGT – Bass and Backing Vocals

Andrew

It all started out when I was handed a bass guitar in high school music class and since then, I was pretty much self-taught. My dad bought me my first bass just after high school, but I didn’t really pick it up or progress musically until my mid twenties. I learned to play along with songs from Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots and Sublime, just to name a few. Some friends were forming a band called JAMMR and they asked me to play bass. This has been an eye opening experience for me musically, as this is my first real band. Now, after three plus years in the band, my favourite part is gigging pretty much every weekend – rocking out with my buddies and the people that come to party with us!

I once wrote “let the music in my veins bring enlightenment upon my recovery.” This has fuelled my passion and desire to one day write, record and perform original music from my life’s journey, but where it all began was grade eight. The grunge scene was upon us and Nirvana was at its peak, and our school had a band that would perform in the auditorium. Watching them captivate us, the raw noise of the guitar, I knew instantly that I wanted to play. I grew up playing the baritone horn and drums in grades five and six, inspired by bands that I listened to heavily like Nirvana, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and Korn. I got my first real taste of the scene when my school band, High Court, played in Detroit two years in a row. I studied guitar at the Ontario Conservatory of Music before taking a ten year hiatus to focus on raising three beautiful girls. Upon my return, I joined a band called The ManCave Project and it was nothing but good times around the garage or campfire with a bunch of great guys. Later, I knew I wanted something more so, I formed Channel5 and joined Rebel 5ive, Dirty Frank (A Pearl Jam Tribute) and Ricochet which all were known for playing around the Niagara Region. I decided it was time for a change, as I’ve been playing classic rock tunes for the bulk of my career, and this is where the vision for JAMMR was formed. A high energy, get in the crowd, fresh, party rock band that is sure to keep you on your feet. You’ll never hear the same setlist twice and we are constantly adding new songs to keep things interesting! Three years later and I’m having the time of my life with my brothers, performing for crowds in multiple cities and festivals!

AUSTIN MUCCIANTE – Drums

Grew up listening to Peart and Bonham on my dad’s stereo before I was gifted my very first drum set when I was seven years old. I played in many bands and concerts throughout elementary and high school. As I got into my twenties, I was inspired by more progressive music like King Crimson, Yes and Radiohead. I joined JAMMR as a new member when I was finishing up my bachelor’s degree, a process that came quick and naturally due to the commitment and talent of the guys who took me on board. The best part about gigging is starting a song that someone loves and hearing their reaction in the crowd.
